It may seem like a trivial thing, such as an ordinary glass jar from something, but it can become an indispensable container for something else. For example, I store fish food in a jar from spices. A canning jar is convenient and easy to use. I rinsed it, dried it, and then poured small parts, beads, or fishing hooks into it. And for ease of use, it’s also advisable to add an appropriate label.
How to make a simple jar creative:
Add some paint and a bit of imagination, and you can easily embellish any interior. Acrylic paints are particularly well-suited for this purpose. They dry fairly quickly, have almost no odor, and can be diluted with water.
You will also need to make a stencil or a sketch of the intended design, especially if you don’t consider yourself a talented artist.
Now everything is done easily, quickly, and creatively. Take the jar or any other item you want to decorate and give it a more appealing look.
Take the jar and apply the first layer of paint – it will be the background color. In my case, I chose a golden color because I felt like it. Afterward, let it sit for about ten minutes to dry, and then apply another layer. This is necessary to ensure an even coverage over the previous design. Although I removed it using sandpaper and degreased the surface, some traces still remained, which is why I needed to apply a couple of layers.
And then we draw the outline of the main design or use a stencil, or do anything else because everyone has the right to choose the design for their own jar.
After acrylic paint has dried, it becomes less susceptible to water, but for durability, it is advisable to coat the item with acrylic clear water-resistant varnish.
In this simple and affordable way, you can create a collection of unique pieces and not only have convenient jars but also beautifully transform your interior.
